The Master of Flattening & Morph Art: hellresident-infl8 – On the Trail of an Unforgettable Creator

In this article, I would like to introduce you to the artist hellresident-infl8, whose work has had a profound impact on me for a very long time.
Discovering the World of hellresident-infl8
In short, he is a creator who has been making funny, cartoon-like transformations for many years. Things like: character flattening, hellresident inflation, pressing into cubes, object transformations, and many other cartoonish transformations. When I saw his early works, I simply couldn’t imagine that it was possible to create such amazing flattening and woman body morph transformations using image manipulation.
I also became interested and tried my hand at it using the GIMP image editor, but the end result was that I couldn’t even come close to his level. I had developed a method for flattening transformations, which sometimes worked reasonably well, but for some reason, it still wasn’t quite right. After that, I opted for 3D rendering instead, and that started to influence me, but that field was still uncharted and complicated for me in the beginning.
The Unforgettable Masterpiece
However, among hellresident-infl8‘s early works, there is one that is unforgettable to me.
Imagine dreaming and fantasizing about what it would be like to see a pretty, flattened woman in a printing press! After all, there have been similar character-flattening scenes in cartoons before. But I had never seen a realistic, cinematic scene presented as a picture, for example. I think it is very true that what people cannot have is what they desire the most. This imagined scene was exactly that for me, appealing perfectly to those who might also enjoy a balloon expansion fetish or unique body alterations.
When I was young, having an internet connection was not yet widespread. And well, it wasn’t cheap either. Plus, there was that dial-up modem internet with its weird sound… Yeah, those were truly different times. Eventually, however, I got the internet too. I became connected to the world, and I was thrilled to start searching for content. I looked for YouTube videos of pretty female assistants being flattened in a so-called wringer illusion. But it was rare to find such things, and the video resolution was very poor.
Most of the footage was pixelated. So it was very true back then that they couldn’t really bring my fantasy to life—or if they did, it wasn’t in good quality. Definitely not realistically. There were cartoonish artworks and pretty good graphics; so there were artists who had started exploring this theme. But the realistic representation was sorely missing.
When Fantasy Becomes Reality
I don’t know exactly how old I was—I think around 20-23—but it happened almost exactly when I first got the internet. I saw one of hellresident-infl8‘s early works. I couldn’t believe it: he delivered exactly what I had always wished for. It was as if he had read my mind. And the most beautiful part about it was that he created a professional, high-quality piece.
What exactly was visible in this picture?
An 8-cylinder printing press that looked exactly like a real one. And inside this printing press was a brown-haired, brown-eyed girl wearing a white t-shirt and dark jeans, whom the press cylinders had flattened out perfectly.
Why was this picture so sexy?
The woman was wearing a short t-shirt, her stomach was exposed, and that too was flattened completely smooth by the cylinders. Also, her breasts were slightly pressed into a flat, disk-like shape. Even though she was wearing a t-shirt, her shapely breasts were still emphasized, and this effect of the flattening, with the disk-like pressing, was executed brilliantly. It masterfully touched upon themes similar to boobs and ass expansion, but in a compressed, reversed manner.
What makes me say that this is a perfect image in flattening art?
Exactly the fact that it was in his work where I first saw the application of the layering effect. Even though if someone is very flat, they are as thin as paper and have almost no thickness. But even in cartoons, they gave flattening a little bit of thickness. There was a scene like this, for example, when Daffy Duck was flattened between three cylinders in an episode of Speedy Gonzales – Chocolate Chase.
I believe the animators used this because the eye can deceptively perceive flatly drawn cartoon characters as somewhat three-dimensional. However, if they give it a little thickness, it will no longer be deceptive to the eye, because it becomes visible in 3D that one of the dimensions is almost paper-thin and sheet-like. hellresident-infl8 applied this exact same technique.
The Perfect Technique Behind the Artwork
Every body part of the female model is carefully layered. Furthermore—and this is what makes it truly professional—he masterfully created this sheet-like layer so that the girl fits perfectly against the printing cylinders. The cylinders tightly press the girl flat.
And what I absolutely love is the woman’s facial expression: she is amazed with her eyes wide open, pressing her lips together. You can perfectly read from her face how awkward and humiliating this situation is for her. At the same time, it lends a sexy vibe to the picture that there is no pain present, only astonishment at the experience of being flattened between the cylinders.
I would also like to point out that the body pose is perfect: it is exactly the most ideal posture for a cartoon-like flattening scene. Her arms are stretched upwards, her palms held flat. Her legs are also stretched out, demonstrating a flawless woman body morph. With this posture, it gives the impression that the girl is elastic, slightly stretched, and deformed. I would add that this kind of depiction must be difficult: to make the model deformed, but without anything becoming overly distorted.
Simply put, for me, what he created way back then was something no one else had ever done. No one even came close. I don’t know exactly the technology used to make it. Whether he really only used an image editor, or if there was some 3D rendering software support as well, where he guided the girl (without a background) along the cylinders in a created model plane, forcing a perfect fit. Using similar methods, much later, I also managed to create similar images. But in my opinion, the artwork was made entirely with manual, Photoshop-level skills, which—let’s admit—makes it very difficult to create such a layered flattening in perspective.
And it’s not only interesting that it was my favorite artwork back then, but also that for a very long time, I didn’t come across anything similar that I could call my favorite. This image is still a masterpiece today.

Besides this, he has created a ton of brilliant pictures over the long years. It was good to see that he also applied the event depiction known from comic books. He created multiple frames for a single scene. For example, in one picture, you can see that the girl is still three-dimensional, and in the next picture, a steamroller has already run over her.

A hellresident-infl8 varázslatának felfedezése
Röviden ő egy olyan alkotó, aki vicces, rajzfilmszerű transzformációkat készít már hosszú ideje. Olyanokat, mint például: karakterlapítás, felfújás, kockává préselés, tárggyá alakítás és még sok-sok más extrém transzformáció. Amikor megláttam az első munkáit, egyszerűen nem tudtam elképzelni, hogy lehetséges ilyen szuper lapításos és testmódosító (morph) képeket készíteni képmanipulációval.
Engem is érdekelni kezdett a dolog, és kipróbáltam magam a GIMP képszerkesztővel, a végeredmény az lett, hogy meg sem sikerült közelítenem az ő szintjét. Volt egy kidolgozott módszerem a lapítási transzformációkra, ami végül is olykor egészen jól működött, de valamiért mégsem volt az igazi. Ezután inkább a 3D renderelést választottam, és az kezdett el hatással lenni rám, de az a terület is felfedezetlen és bonyolult volt még számomra a kezdetekben.
Viszont hellresident-infl8 első munkói közül van egy olyan, ami számomra feledhetetlen.
Képzeld el azt, amikor álmodozol és fantáziálsz arról, hogy milyen lenne látni egy kilapult, csinos nőt a nyomdagépben! Hiszen a rajzfilmekben már voltak ehhez hasonló karakterlapítási jelenetek. De realisztikus, filmbe illő jelenetet sosem láttam mondjuk képként. Azt hiszem, nagyon igaz az, hogy amit nem kaphat meg az ember, mindig arra vágyik a legjobban. Ez az elképzelt jelenet is ilyen volt számomra, ami könnyen megragadja azokat is, akiket az extrém testalakítások vagy épp a felfújadásos (inflation) témák érdekelnek.
Fiatal koromban még nem volt elterjedve az internet bekötése. Meg hát nem is volt olcsó. És ott volt az a betárcsázás, modemes net azzal a furcsa hanggal… Hát igen, ezek tényleg más idők voltak. Előbb-utóbb azonban nekem is lett internetem. Összeköttetésbe kerültem a nagyvilággal, és nagyon örültem, hogy elkezdhettem kutatni a tartalmak után. YouTube-videókat kerestem arról, ahogy csinos asszisztensnőket lapítanak ki egy úgynevezett wringer illúzióban. De ritka volt, hogy ilyesmit lehetett találni, és a videók felbontása is nagyon rossz volt.
A legtöbb felvétel pixeles volt. Tehát nagyon is igaz volt akkoriban, hogy a fantáziámat nem igazán tudták megvalósítani – vagy ha mégis, akkor azt nem jó minőségben. Realisztikusan biztosan nem. Voltak rajzfilmszerű alkotások és egész jó grafikák; tehát akadtak művészek, akik elkezdtek ezzel a témával foglalkozni. De a realisztikus megjelenítés nagyon hiányzott.
Amikor a fantázia valóssá válik
Nem tudom pontosan, hány éves lehettem – azt hiszem, olyan 20-23 körüli –, de szinte rögtön akkor történt, amikor nekem is lett internetem. Megláttam hellresident-infl8 egyik első munkáját. Nem akartam elhinni: pont azt teljesítette, amire mindig is vágytam. Mintha kitalálta volna a gondolataimat. És az volt benne a legszebb, hogy egy professzionális, jó minőségű munkát alkotott.
Mi is volt látható pontosan ezen a képen?
Egy 8 hengerből álló nyomdagép, amely pontosan úgy nézett ki, mint egy igazi. Ebben a nyomdagépben pedig egy fehér pólós, sötét farmeres, barna hajú és szemű lány volt, akit a nyomdagép hengerei tökéletesen laposra egyengettek.
Miért volt ez a kép olyan szexi?
A nő rövid pólót viselt, a hasa kilátszott, és azt is teljesen simára lapították a hengerek. Valamint a melleit enyhén lapos, korong alakra préselték. Bár pólót viselt, formás mellei így is ki voltak hangsúlyozva, és a lapításnak ez a hatása a korongszerű préseléssel kiválóan érvényesült. Tökéletes inverze volt ez annak, amit a “boobs and ass expansion” stílusban megszokhattunk.
Mi az, ami miatt azt mondanám, hogy ez egy tökéletes kép a lapításos művészetben?
Pontosan az, hogy nála láttam először a rétegelés hatásának alkalmazását. Bár ha valaki nagyon lapos, akkor olyan vékony, mint a papír, és szinte nincs is vastagsága. De még a rajzfilmekben is adtak egy kis vastagságot a lapításnak. Ilyen jelenet volt például, amikor a Speedy Gonzales – Chocolate Chase egyik részében Dodó kacsa kilapult három henger között.
Úgy gondolom, ezt azért alkalmazták az animátorok, mert a szem megtévesztően térszerűnek láthatja a laposan megrajzolt rajzfilmfigurákat. Ha viszont adnak neki egy kis vastagságot, akkor a szem számára már nem lesz megtévesztő, mert 3D-ben is látszik, hogy az egyik dimenzió szinte papírvékony és lapszerű. Ugyanezt a technikát alkalmazta hellresident-infl8 is.
A mesteri technika a kép mögött
A női modell minden testrésze gondosan rétegelt. Ezenkívül – and ettől igazán professzionális – ezt a lapszerű réteget mesterien úgy hozta létre, hogy a lány tökéletesen rásimul a nyomdai hengerekre. A hengerek szorosan préselik laposra a csajszit.
Amit pedig egyenesen imádok, az a nő arckifejezése: tágra nyílt szemekkel csodálkozik, ajkait pedig összeszorítja. Az arcáról tökéletesen leolvasható, mennyire kínos és megalázó ez a szituáció számára. Ugyanakkor egyszerre szexi hatást is kölcsönöz a képnek az, hogy nincs jelen fájdalom, csupán csodálkozás a hengerek közötti lapulási élményen.
Valamint kiemelném, hogy a testpóz is tökéletes: pontosan az, ami egy rajzfilmszerű kilapítási jelenethez a legideálisabb. A kezeit felfelé kinyújtja, tenyereit laposan tartja. Lábait szintén kinyújtja. Ezzel a testhelyzettel olyan hatást kelt, mintha a lány rugalmas lenne, egy kissé megnyúlt és deformálódott volna. Hozzátenném, hogy biztosan nehéz az ilyenfajta ábrázolás: elérni, hogy a modell deformált legyen (morph hatás), de közben semmije se torzuljon el túlzottan.
Egyszerűen számomra, amit akkor, nagyon régen megalkotott, ahhoz hasonlót senki sem csinált. Még csak meg sem közelítette senki. Nem ismerem pontosan a technológiát, amivel készült. Hogy valóban csak képszerkesztőt használt-e, vagy volt esetleg 3D-s renderprogramos támogatás is, amivel a lányt (háttér nélkül) egy megalkotott modellsíkban végigvezette a hengerek mentén, és tökéletes passzolásra kényszerítette. Ilyesmi módszerekkel jóval később már nekem is sikerült hasonló képeket alkotnom. De véleményem szerint a mű teljesen manuális, Photoshop-szintű tudással készült, amivel – valljuk be – nagyon nehéz perspektivikusan egy ilyen rétegelt lapítást megalkotni.
És nemcsak az az érdekes, hogy akkor ez volt a kedvenc alkotásom, hanem az is, hogy nagyon sokáig nem találkoztam ehhez hasonlóval, amire azt mondhattam volna, hogy a kedvencem. Ez a kép még ma is egy remekmű.
További zseniális alkotások hellresident-infl8-től
Ezenkívül még rengeteg zseniális képet alkotott meg a hosszú évek alatt. Jó volt látni, hogy a képregényekből ismert eseményábrázolást is alkalmazta. Több képkockát is készített egy-egy jelenethez. Például az egyiken az látható, hogy a lány még háromdimenziás, a másik képen pedig már az, hogy átment rajta ahenger.
